Young and growing agency is seeking an Art Director/Senior Designer level web designer to join a small and nimble team as we grow and pursue new work. We have had an exciting first year, ramping up and gaining new clients faster than expected and are looking to keep growing in 2010.

Clients to date have included a major cell phone service provider, one of the largest talent agencies in LA, and a major commercial real estate company. Our varied client base means you can expect to work on a wide range of brands and will need to be able to adapt to varied design styles per client.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years design experience in the interactive space. Must be a self starter, motivated and ready to work in a start-up environment. You’ll work in our Lake Forest office with our development and project management teams. You will report to (and work along side) the Creative Director.

Your design role is primarily online based, but you’ll also need a strong working knowledge of the print space as our service offering includes identity work. You’ll have a thorough understanding of the web space, designing for usability and knowing what is and isn’t possible in the medium, but with a sense of innovation and always pushing for what’s next.

Your qualifications:

• strong creative and conceptual thinker – able to map your design work back to business objectives

• strong sense of design composition and typography

• mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator and the rest of the Adobe creative suite

• strong understanding of emerging trends in social media

• full understanding of web technologies, knowing how your designs will be implemented

• Flash animation and actionscript capabilities

• excellent verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills

• strong time management skills and the ability to multi task

Bonus if you have:

• CSS and xhtml skills – The ideal candidate is a strong designer who can also produce the front end markup for their designs.

• Flash AS 3.0 programming skills

• 3D animation and/or video skill set
