We have great news! JobPress 3.0 is finally available in our store. Let’s take a look at what’s new.

Mobile Version

Mobile users can now search and view job listings. In addition to being able to filter listings by category and job type, they can also save jobs and share them via email and social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

Employers can view job seeker resume listings as well as save resumes for later viewing. They can also share resumes by email and social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

The blog section of the website can now be viewed on mobile devices. Users can either login to theirs existing accounts or register for new ones to post comments.

There is a new dashboard page that allows employers to review their posted jobs and allows job seekers to view their saved jobs.

The mobile version of JobPress works best on iOS, Android, or Meego devices.

Language Management

The days of language difficulty in WordPress themes are over. JobPress 3.0 has a dedicated language management screen that allows you to either modify existing languages or add your own and translate the theme in the settings page.

Installation Helpers

In the past, we’ve had some issues regarding missing database tables. To solve this problem, we’ve added a page to the back-end that shows database status so that users can quickly find and fix problems with database tables.

New customers sometimes have difficulties setting up theme since their sites are usually not configured like our demo site. To aid in setting up, we’ve made it easy to insert sample data on JobPress 3.0 so customers can view how their modifications will appear on the theme.

Interface Improvement

The Job Detail page and Dashboard user interface pages as well as the login popup were not logical so we decided to improve them to make them more useful.

Bug Fixes

We collected customer ideas and comments and put what we learned to use. We applied many of the solutions and fixes suggested by customers to make JobPress 3.0 more effective. In addition to several minor fixes, we also fixed the following:

- advanced search
- job/resume count in categories widget
- disabled automatic addition of default widgets upon theme activation
- front-end code

It has been over two years since we last updated the website and since then, DailyWP has grown into a more mature business. JobPress was our first well-known theme and since its debut, we have created several powerful application themes. HotelPress is the theme of choice by hundreds of hotel managers around the world and over the last year Review Engine has also proven to be one of the most successful reviewing systems.

But to be frank, not all of our products have reached the level of effectiveness as these three themes, mostly because we have not had the time or manpower to make the necessary improvements.

As part of the revitalization of DailyWP, we’ve decided to discontinue all except for our three most successful themes. We will continue to offer the JobPress, HotelPress, and Review Engine themes and remove all others from our store. This will allow us to focus our attention on improving these three already successful themes for our customers. While the discontinued themes will no longer be offered in our store, customers who have already purchased them will continue to receive our full support in our Help Center.

A more exciting news is that after we’ve completed our planned improvements to the top three themes, we will publish a few new ones that we are currently working on. And remember, all of our themes will be available with mobile device compatibility. We are very excited to announce that JobPress 3.0 will be the first theme released with a mobile version and will be available at the end of this month.

As stated in our previous post, DailyWP had decided to make some changes in the way we operate our business, how we support our customers, and most important, how our products will evolve to become more valuable. We are pleased to begin our revitalization process today.

You may have noticed the appearance of our new mascot, the clouded leopard. These beautiful creatures live primarily in Southeast Asia, including in Vietnam, where the DailyWP headquarters are located.

Some of our customers are surprised when they find out that DailyWP is in Vietnam. This is understandable since we’ve never formally introduced the team to our customers. We’ve decided to change that so a page has been set up on our site to introduce the DailyWP team to our customers. You may recognize some of them as members of the support team that has been answering your questions and working in the Community.

Leo the clouded leopard

Our revitalization effort also includes improving the convenience of the community and modify it into a Help Center. We are now able to support filtering topics by products, adding code snippets in posts, and improved readability. We are continuing to work on additional features for the new Help Center so that we can improve the quality of our service. We have also decided to exclude normal users from posting in the Help Center so that we can focus our attention on our customers.

That’s it for now. We are more than pleased to launch this new version of DailyWP. More information about the products will be announced in a later post.

As you may have noticed, DailyWP has not been updated since Review Engine was released in January. We are very happy to announce that next week some very exciting changes are coming to DailyWP starting with the appearance.

Because we always strive to improve customer satisfaction with our products and services, we closed the year of 2011 by taking a thorough and candid look at our business. We carefully reviewed and analyzed our strengths and weaknesses. DailyWP has been in business for a long time and taking an honest look at ourselves, we’ve realized that we have not always achieved the level of professionalism that we’ve strived for. We are determined to change this and the new appearance of DailyWP is only first step in the improvement process.Three of the most exciting changes are the following:

- Themes: DailyWP’s new appearance would be meaningless if our themes remained the same. Thanks to some very valuable customer input, we have been able to gather some wonderful ideas for improving our themes. Some of the less practical themes will be removed so that we can focus on the most useful ones. We will provide more information on this at a later date.

- Mobile Versions: Due to growth in the use of smart phones and tablets, there has been a significant increase in web traffic from mobile devices in the last few years. Since we understand our customer’s need to support these devices for business, we’ve decided to implement mobile versions of all DailyWP products. The mobile version of JobPress is currently in work and we are aiming to publish within the next two weeks. Mobile versions of the other themes are currently in planning stages.

Mobile version of JobPress Professional

- Help Center: Frankly, the current community setup for customer assistance is not convenient for either customers or staff. The launch of the new and improved DailyWP appearance will be followed by the modification of the customer community to a Help Center. The Help Center will include features such as an improved editor, simplified image uploads, support of code in posts, and trouble-free solution searches. The Help Center will be used strictly for customer support so discussions will not be cluttered with guest and user input.

We at DailyWP would like to thank you for being loyal customers. We hope that our upcoming changes will both satisfy your needs and contribute to the success of your business. It is always a pleasure to hear from you and we welcome your suggestions so don’t hesitate to contact us by email or through the help community. Please subscribe to our RSS feed to receive more announcements about upcoming improvements.
