Dailywp was launched in 2008, a time when the principle of a “premium” (paid) WordPress theme was early and pretty unexplored. The founder was only 16 years old and because of his lack of knowledge in business management, the website faced many problems until early 2009 when it was bought by YoungWorld. At that point, DailyWP got a great investment of human resources, money, energy and time. From a one-person project, it became the work of an entire team.
The team started improving the big amount of things needed to improve, launched and tested new themes and worked hard and dedicated to understand the market and the people who form it. In the three years since 2009, the website direction has been changed and adjusted often, the number of themes was doubled and then tripled, a full-time customer service superwoman was hired and the team grew little by little.
The culmination point in DailyWP’s evolution came this year, 2012, when the website was rebranded and relaunched. The unprofitable themes were discontinued, leaving the only three that people has constantly shown interest in. The team now counts 4 developers, a product manager, the customer service superwoman and a few freelance designers collaborating working hard to constantly improve and update the existing themes.
DailyWP was a war of constraints but a beautiful journey for the people working on it. We are going further with this journey trying to improve the standards of DailyWP and, by that, the standards of the premium wordpress themes industry. Working to release new themes with new features, working on new devices and environments, we are looking forward to creating effective solutions for all the web people who found an excellent friend in WordPress and a great solution in DailyWP.
